Being privately owned and family operated, the rich heritage of Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence is founded upon enhancing the quality of life through a family-focused model and personalized care.
Since 1977, the Biggins family has cared for those advancing in age at the original location in Palmetto. Recognizing the need for additional services in the Sun City Center area, Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care was opened in 1999, growing to a 110-bed capacity. With the completion of the Legacy at Cypress Creek, Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence is one of the largest privately-owned assisted living residences in the state of Florida having expanded to 140 beds and a spacious Event Center.
The compassionate staff, the experienced leadership team, and the unique design of the communities at Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence and The Legacy at Cypress Creek have been strategically intended and prepared to encourage an active and fulfilling lifestyle with peace of mind for each resident. Divided into personalized neighborhoods with high staff-to-resident ratios, our living spaces provide a sense of community in an environment that does not overwhelm and has been purposed to accommodate individualized needs through all stages of advancing age, including memory care.

CHAMP’S STORY
Neglected and abandoned, Champ miraculously found his way to Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence. After hearing reports of an injured dog on the property, Jim Biggins, the owner of Cypress Creek, transported the dog to a local veterinary hospital where he received the medical care needed and made a full recovery. It was decided that this little champion would receive the name Champ and remain part of the Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care family. Champ underwent extensive training to become part of the team.
Residents, families, friends, and staff of Cypress Creek hold Champ dear and enjoy his visits each day. He is well-known throughout the Cypress Creek Business Community, and all who enter the doors of Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence look for our champion.

Our beautiful home is located in Sun City, Florida, just 42 Minutes from Tampa’s International Airport, 30 Minutes from Bradenton, 30 Minutes from St. Petersburg, and 1 hour and 50 minutes from the Orlando International Airport making it easy for out-of-town families to visit their loved ones. Sun City has a population of 20,000 and the median age is 73 making this a serene, safe community. We enjoy 360 days of sunshine! Come see for yourself.
